We are less than two months away from the start of The European Forum for New Ideas 2017 – an international business conference on the future of Europe and its economy, considered in a broad, global context. For the seventh time, in Sopot, the voices of European entrepreneurs will be heard in the debate on the future of Europe. EFNI offers not only an opportunity to make business contacts or meet with eminent experts, but also an inspirational programme and a possibility to participate in live discussions. During this years edition, we will discuss the major economic challenges facing Europe, seeking answers to questions such as: Will economic patriotism redefine control of the free market? How to cooperate with foreign partners amidst re–emerging trade barriers? What does multi–speed Union mean for the single market and four freedoms?What are the most important sectoral trends (in terms of: digitization, robotics, sharing economy and ecology), what are consumer expectations? Is short–termism the cause of current economic problems or the result of instability? During 3 days, more than 50 events and meetings will take place. The guest list of this years edition of the European Forum for New Ideas includes Elżbieta Bieńkowska – EU Commissioner for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, Member of the European Commission. Meeting with the Commissioner will take the form of civil dialogue. The event is organized in partnership with the European Commission. The Civil Dialogue is an initiative that enables the Commission to have direct contact with EU citizens, to listen to their opinions and to respond to their comments. Starting from 2012, debates with citizens take place in all EU Member States.
